Antonio Martinez joined Eurasia Motorsport for rounds 3-6 of the Formula BMW Pacific Series with a view to adding to his experience and to help him improve for his European F.BMW campaign. A happy Martinez increased his race mileage four fold and racked up as many kilometers as he would have done in four European events!

“It was a great experience to be able to compete in the F-BMW Pacific Championship at the Sepang race. The circuit is fantastic and there were many quick drivers. I also found that the Teams were very good. Apart from seeing different faces, the championship is pretty the same as in Europe. If everything goes well in the next few races, I hope I will be able to compete in another meeting. Definitively worthwhile!” reported Martinez.

“From a personal point of view I think I learnt a lot and I had the opportunity to do a lot of racing miles which is what I lack. Now I’m looking forward to Zandvoort which will be a difficult weekend because we won’t have much time to learn the track and I have been told it is not easy.”

“I want to thank Eurasia Team for the treatment they gave me, it was first class during the whole week. They are very good as their results prove it”

The next Formula BMW Pacific event takes place at Sentul Circuit in Indonesia and like Sepang the Asian Festival of Speed meeting offers incredible value with four races and plenty of practice sessions. The event runs from July 16-19. Interested drivers should contact Mark Goddard at mark@eurasiamotorsport.com

The Zimbabwean BMW Junior driver has attracted support from Pioneer Africa Corporation, a transport and logistics company based in Central and Southern Africa. Axcil will sport the Pioneer logo on his car for the next round of the Formula BMW Pacific Series which will be held at the Sepang F1 Circuit on May 28-31.

Jefferies impressed with his speed at the first event of the series also held at Sepang supporting the Malaysian F1 GP. He finished fourth in his career first car race and led at the completion of the first lap of round two before being punted off by an errant competitor. Axcil is determined to put that disappointment behind him and is confident he can shine this coming weekend. “Now I have my first race under my belt I know what to expect and I am full of confidence for the weekend” remarked Axcil.

Mark Goddard of Eurasia Motorsport commented “This weekend is vital for the championship as there are four races and a lot of points to be won. We know from testing that Axcil has the pace and I am confident its all going to come together for Axcil and we will be celebrating on Sunday evening!”.
